A refreshing and creamy vegan strawberry milk made with fresh or frozen strawberries, sweetened with maple syrup, blended and combined with creamy oat milk. Perfect as a healthy, dairy-free beverage or smoothie substitute for any time of day.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups oat milk, preferable barista or any other creamy vegan milk of choice
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Strawberries: Add the hulled and washed strawberries to a small saucepan with a splash of water. Bring to a boil while stirring, then lower the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the strawberries are soft and juicy.
  2. Add Sweeteners and Flavor: Remove the pan from heat and stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired, depending on the natural sweetness of the strawberries.
  3. Blend the Strawberry Puree: Use a handheld or countertop blender to blend the strawberries into a smooth puree. Allow the puree to cool down to room temperature.
  4. Assemble the Drink: Divide the cooled strawberry puree evenly into two tall glasses. Fill the glasses with ice cubes and pour the ice-cold oat milk over the puree.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Optionally top with chopped fresh strawberries for garnish. Stir with a straw and serve immediately for a refreshing vegan strawberry milk.

Notes

  • Use barista-style oat milk or any creamy vegan milk for the best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste depending on the ripeness of the strawberries.
  • Can be served immediately or chilled for a colder beverage.
  • For a thicker smoothie-like texture, reduce the oat milk slightly or add more strawberries.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used; just increase simmering time slightly to soften.
