These Easy Oreo Balls are a decadent no-bake treat combining crushed Oreo cookies with creamy cream cheese, dipped in your choice of melted semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate. Perfect for parties or anytime you want a quick, indulgent dessert without baking.

Ingredients

Base

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 16 ounces milk chocolate
  • 16 ounces white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Process 36 regular Oreo cookies until they become fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a medium mixing bowl. Add the entire 8-ounce package of softened brick-style cream cheese. Mix thoroughly using a spoon or spatula until no dry crumbs remain and a dough-like consistency forms.
  3. Form balls: Scoop about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form compact balls roughly 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. Continue until all mixture is used, yielding about 36 to 40 balls.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the tray of Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up, which helps with dipping later.
  5. Melt chocolate: Using a double boiler or microwave at 50% power in 30-second bursts, melt 16 ounces of your chosen chocolate until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly but remain liquid.
  6. Dip balls: Use a fork or toothpick to dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Lift out, let excess drip off, and gently tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove extra chocolate. Return coated balls to the lined baking sheet. Optionally, drizzle contrasting melted chocolate or add sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  7. Set chocolate: Allow the chocolate to fully harden at room temperature, or speed up the process by refrigerating for 15-20 minutes until the coating is set.

Notes

  • Use brick-style cream cheese for best texture; soften it at room temperature before mixing.
  • To avoid overheating chocolate in the microwave, heat gently and stir frequently.
  • You can mix and match different chocolate types or drizzle alternate chocolates for decorative effects.
  • Store Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Feel free to add sprinkles or crushed Oreos on top for extra texture and presentation.
