This Chocolate Oreo Protein Ice Cream is a creamy, indulgent treat that combines the rich flavors of chocolate milk, chocolate protein powder, and Oreo pudding mix, enhanced with crunchy Oreo Thins and mini chocolate chips. It’s a quick and easy recipe using the Ninja Creami machine, perfect for a high-protein dessert that satisfies both chocolate cravings and nutritional goals.

Ingredients

Base

  • 360 ml chocolate milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Oreo pudding mix or chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 pinch salt

Mix-ins

  • Oreo Thins, as desired
  • Mini chocolate chips, as desired

Instructions

  1. Combine Base Ingredients: Pour chocolate milk, chocolate protein powder, selected pudding mix, and salt into an empty Ninja Creami pint container.
  2. Blend Smooth: Whisk or use a milk frother to thoroughly blend all base ingredients inside the Creami pint until the mixture is smooth and consistent.
  3. Freeze the Mixture: Place the pint on a level surface in the freezer, uncovered, and freeze for 24 hours to ensure the mixture solidifies completely for optimal texture.
  4. Prepare the Creami Machine: After freezing, transfer the frozen pint to the Creami outer bowl, securely attach the lid, and place it into the machine base. Twist the handle to raise and lock the platform in place.
  5. Process Lite Ice Cream Cycle: Select the Lite Ice Cream setting on the machine and run the cycle. No additional respin should be needed at this point.
  6. Add Mix-ins: Using a spoon, create a well approximately 4 cm wide in the center of the ice cream. Add Oreo Thins and/or mini chocolate chips into the well.
  7. Mix-in Program: Run the mix-in program once to evenly fold the Oreo Thins and chocolate chips throughout the ice cream.
  8. Serve & Garnish: Remove the pint from the Creami and serve immediately. Optionally, top with additional crushed Oreos or other preferred toppings for extra crunch and flavor.

Notes

  • Ensure the ice cream base is completely frozen for 24 hours before processing to achieve the best texture.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of pudding mix to suit your preferred creaminess and flavor intensity.
  • Use Oreo Thins or regular Oreos crushed slightly if you prefer a different texture.
  • Serves best immediately after processing to enjoy the creamy texture, but can be stored in the freezer for short periods.
  • The recipe is easily customizable by swapping in other protein powders or pudding flavors.
