Ingredients

Protein

  • 3 1/2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch black pepper

Cheese

  • 2 cups freshly grated low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

Breads

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian Rolls

Finishing and Garnish

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Buffalo Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded rotisserie chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, honey, minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the chicken is evenly coated with the sauce.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves with the cut side facing up on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Add Chicken and Cheese: Evenly spread the buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls. Then sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses uniformly over the chicken layer.
  5. Top the Sliders: Place the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese layer to close the sliders.
  6. Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic salt. Generously brush this mixture over the tops of the assembled sliders, reserving a small amount for later use.
  7. Bake Covered: Loosely cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the filling is heated through and the cheese is melted.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for another 5 minutes to allow the tops of the rolls to turn golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Finishing Touch: Optionally, brush the tops again with the remaining butter mixture for extra flavor and shine. Let the sliders cool slightly before slicing into individual pieces.
  10. Serve: Serve the sliders warm for a delicious, spicy, cheesy treat that’s perfect for sharing.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought rotisserie chicken to save preparation time.
  • For extra heat, add more buffalo sauce or include sliced jalapeños in the chicken mixture.
  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven.
  • Substitute ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing for a different flavor profile.
  • To make them gluten-free, replace the Hawaiian rolls with gluten-free slider buns.
